What is Nutrition Response Testing???

It is a technology that obtains critical information about bodily function from the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Autonomic refers to something that occurs involuntarily. Bodily functions like sweating and temperature regulation, eye blinking, bladder function, heart and breathing rates, digestive metabolism, immune response, hormone regulation and so forth are regulated by the ANS. There are two controls to the ANS:

Think of them as our body’s emergency response team (sympathetic control) and relaxation team (parasympathetic control) – our “fight or flight” and “rest & digest”. When our bodies are healthy and in balance, these systems function properly and are in tune with one another; the sympathetic takes control when we are active, the parasympathetic when we are resting and relaxing.

These regulators are responsible for healthy functioning, including our ability to heal. When there is an imbalance, blockage or disruptions of these two systems, that is when we experience symptoms such as chronic stress and anxiety, sleep issues, digestive issues - bloating, acid reflux, bowel shifts, fatigue, acid reflux, high blood pressure, heart palpitations, mood swings, chronic pain, and more. These types of symptoms are your bodies way of sounding the alarms and calling for your emergency response team. These imbalances can be corrected safely, naturally and effectively by accessing the ANS.

5 Stressors are tested for:

  1. Food sensitivities

  2. Scars

  3. Immune challenges

  4. Chemical challenges

  5. Metal challenges

These stressors can put a stop to the healing process within your body, leading to increased symptoms and a feeling that nothing you are trying is working, feeling hopeless.

The next pivotal step in this type of testing is specific organ reflexes (such as liver, heart and bowel) as well as glandular reflexes (like prostate, thyroid and adrenals). Then the priority reflex is determined. This step is critical because pinpointing the priority can help with a more specific and individualized treatment plan that can include less supplement and pill usage, and overall whole-body healing. This non-invasive approach involves lightly touching acupuncture points and reflex locations on the body that are associated with different organs while also assessing muscle strength. This can be the key to you finding your true healing journey!
